Due to its remote location, reaching Balabac requires a bit more planning than visiting destinations like El Nido or Coron, but the reward is an unforgettable island adventure.
Getting to Balabac from Puerto Princesa
Most travelers begin their journey in Puerto Princesa, the capital of Palawan. From there, you need to travel south to Buliluyan Port, which serves as the main gateway to Balabac.
At Balabac Beach Resort, we make the journey easy and comfortable. Our air-conditioned van picks up guests directly in Puerto Princesa. Daily departure is at 3:00 AM, allowing us to complete the long journey during the cooler hours of the night while avoiding most daytime traffic.
The drive from Puerto Princesa to Buliluyan Port takes approximately 5–6 hours, depending on road conditions and traffic.
From Buliluyan Port to Balabac Beach Resort
Upon arrival at Buliluyan Port, our boat will already be waiting for you. From there, we provide a direct transfer to Balabac Beach Resort.
The boat ride usually takes around 45 minutes, depending on sea conditions, wind, and waves. Once you arrive at the resort, you can check in, relax, and prepare for your Balabac island hopping adventure.
